Our unannounced Narrative Adventure project takes inspiration from the charm of classic point-and-click games, reimagined with modern technology and storytelling. We’re looking for a skilled Animator to bring our characters, environments, and world to life through dynamic and engaging animations.
The Position
As an Animator, you will create animations that enhance the emotional depth and interactivity of our game. Working closely with the Art, Narrative, and Gameplay teams, you’ll ensure that every movement and action aligns with the story, enhances gameplay, and immerses players in our vibrant world.
Key Responsibilities

Create high-quality animations for characters, props, and environmental elements using Unreal Engine.

Design and implement character animations that reflect personality, emotions, and narrative context.

Develop interactive animations that enhance player immersion and engagement.

Collaborate with the Art and Design teams to ensure animations fit seamlessly within the game’s visual style and mechanics.

Work with rigged assets to produce fluid and realistic motion while optimizing for performance.

Troubleshoot and debug animation-related issues in Unreal Engine.

Implement animations into the game engine, utilizing Unreal’s animation tools and Blueprints as needed.

Contribute to the development of animation pipelines and workflows to improve efficiency.
Qualifications

Proven experience as an Animator, with a strong portfolio demonstrating character and environmental animations.

Proficiency in animation tools such as Maya, Blender, or equivalent.

Experience implementing animations in Unreal Engine, including use of Animation Blueprints, Sequencer, and State Machines.

Solid understanding of character rigging, skeletal animation, and motion capture workflows.

Strong grasp of timing, weight, and motion principles in animation.

Ability to adapt to and maintain a cohesive animation style that complements the game’s narrative and aesthetic.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Bonus Skills

Experience animating for narrative-driven or adventure games.

Knowledge of facial animation and lip-syncing techniques.

Familiarity with Unreal’s Niagara system for VFX integration.

Experience with hand-drawn or stylized animation techniques.
Equity-Based Project Opportunity
This role is part of an equity-based project. You’ll earn a percentage of the profits when the game ships within a 12-month rolling calendar.
