With an unannounced Narrative Adventure project inspired by classic point-and-click adventures, we seek a visionary Marketing Lead to build excitement and connect with a passionate audience.

The Position

As the Marketing Lead, you will spearhead the strategy and execution of all marketing initiatives for Fun Waffle Game Studios. You will work closely with the creative team to develop compelling campaigns that resonate with gamers and drive engagement. This role is perfect for a hands-on marketer who thrives on storytelling, community building, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for the studio and its projects, including the unannounced Narrative Adventure game.

  2. Create and manage marketing campaigns across digital platforms, including social media, email, and online ads.

  3. Oversee the production of marketing assets, including trailers, key art, screenshots, and promotional materials, in collaboration with artists and developers.

  4. Build and engage with the game’s community through social media, forums, and events, fostering a loyal and active fan base.

  5. Collaborate with PR and media outlets to secure coverage, interviews, and features for the studio and its games.

  6. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using data to refine strategies and maximize impact.

  7. Stay up-to-date on gaming trends, platforms, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.

  8. Manage relationships with external partners, including influencers, content creators, and distribution platforms.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in a marketing role within the gaming industry, with at least one successful game launch.

  2. Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media management, and community engagement.

  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives and promotional content.

  4. Knowledge of player demographics, behavior, and trends in the gaming industry.

  5. Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and ad platform dashboards.

  6. Passion for video games, with an appreciation for narrative-driven and indie titles.

  7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Bonus Skills

  1. Experience marketing narrative or adventure games.

  2. Connections with media outlets, influencers, and content creators in the gaming space.

  3. Knowledge of SEO and ASO strategies to improve discoverability.

  4. Proficiency in graphic design or video editing software to create marketing assets.

Equity-Based Project Opportunity

This role is part of an equity-based project. You’ll earn a percentage of the profits when the game ships within a 12-month rolling calendar.
