Are you a seasoned Technical Artist with a track record of AAA releases, ready to make your mark in our exciting lineup of games? We're seeking a Technical Artist to join our team and help bring our ambitious visions to life. As a critical member of Fun Waffle Game Studios, you'll play a pivotal role in elevating our games' visual and technical aspects, ensuring they captivate players with their immersive worlds and seamless gameplay experiences.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with our art and engineering teams to develop and implement optimized art pipelines tailored to Unreal Engine for "Trail of the Undead."

Create stunning visual effects, shaders, and materials that enhance the atmosphere and gameplay mechanics of our narrative-driven Western Survival game.

Utilize your expertise in Unreal Engine to optimize performance and maintain high visual fidelity across various platforms, ensuring a smooth and immersive experience for players.

Mentor and guide junior artists, sharing your knowledge and experience to foster growth and excellence within the team.

Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to identify and solve technical challenges, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality assets and features on schedule.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technical Artist in the game industry, with at least one AAA release under your belt.

Proven proficiency in Unreal Engine, with a deep understanding of its rendering pipeline, material editor, Blueprints scripting, and optimization techniques.

Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python or C++, with the ability to develop tools and utilities that enhance the efficiency of our art pipeline.

A portfolio showcasing your contributions to AAA game projects, including examples of complex shaders, materials, and technical solutions you've developed.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for working in a dynamic team environment and contributing to the success of ambitious game projects.
Equity-Based Project Opportunity
This role is part of an equity-based project. You’ll earn a percentage of the profits when the game ships within a 12-month rolling calendar.
